Blood Typing Set AB0-Rh, Simulated Blood

A complete class set for 30 analyses that lets students explore the AB0 and Rhesus systems without using real blood. Typing is done safely and simply with simulated blood and simulated Anti-A, Anti-B and Anti-Rh sera added to small three-well plastic trays, where the agglutination reactions are clearly visible; the four simulated blood samples each represent a different blood type, and because the simulated blood is made of tiny red and blue beads standing in for red and white cells, it can even be examined under a microscope. The set includes simulated blood from four donors (7 mL each), 7 mL each of simulated Anti-A, Anti-B and Anti-Rh serum, 30 three-compartment typing trays, 3 × 120 stirring sticks in blue, yellow and white, and an English guide. It is ideal for teaching genetics and immunology — antigens, antibodies, agglutination and blood-group systems — and needs no special safety precautions since everything is simulated.
