Centicubes, 1 cm³, 1 g

Centicubes are small cubes with 1 cm sides and a mass of 1 g each. Each cube has several holes and pegs so the cubes can be joined into flat shapes and patterns; each cube also has two smooth faces. They are supplied in a plastic tub containing 1,000 pieces in 10 different colours, making them suitable for hands-on learning and group work. Centicubes are used in science, mathematics and physics to illustrate concepts such as volume, mass and density. Pupils can build shapes, measure volume and investigate the relationship between mass and volume.
