Coil Spring, 1.8 m, Ø 2 cm

This coil spring has an unloaded length of 1.8 m and a diameter of 2 cm. It is easy to handle and well suited to experiments in which wave phenomena need to be made visible to pupils. In physics lessons it can be used to demonstrate transverse waves and to produce standing waves, letting pupils observe how waves travel and interfere and how wavelength and frequency are related. Because the motion is easy to follow, it is ideal for class experiments in which pupils create and study different wave patterns themselves.
