CT Bronchial Tree Model with Larynx

This unique model was created from the computed-tomography data of a human (male, approximately 40 years old), so that the natural three-dimensional spatial relationships and the mutual positions of the segmental bronchi are preserved and demonstrated realistically. The larynx with hyoid bone and epiglottis and the trachea with the primary and lobar bronchi are shown in a single colour; the larynx is detachable at the level of the second tracheal cartilage and can be divided in the median plane, and the epiglottis is flexibly mounted. The segmental bronchi are made of an elastic material and rendered in various transparent colours so that they can be told apart at a glance, making the model an outstanding aid for studying the anatomy of the lungs.
