Drive Unit – Wave Machine
A drive unit for running the demonstration wave machine continuously at a smoothly adjustable frequency. The crank disc and connecting rod are coupled by a magnetic engagement mechanism, and the stroke can be set to 10 mm or 32 mm over a frequency range of about 275 mHz to 2.85 Hz. It runs from a 12 V AC plug-in power supply (500 mA), measures approximately 60 x 90 x 160 mm without its base and weighs about 640 g including the power supply.
