Geometric Solids, Set of 8

A set of eight different geometric solids made from transparent plastic, each of which opens so that a coloured, unfoldable insert representing the solid's surface can be lifted out. This shows the relationship between a solid's volume and its surface area in a tangible, highly visible way. The solids can be washed in lukewarm soapy water and filled with liquid, fine grains or sand to compare their volumes, making them an ideal support tool for mathematics and physics in both primary and secondary school.
