Globe with Bar Magnet

Globe on an acrylic base with a bar magnet positioned along the polar axis, for demonstrating the shape of Earth’s magnetic field. A compass or magnetic-field indicator aligns at the globe’s surface with the magnetic field parallel to the lines of longitude. The field inclination can also be determined with a magnetic-field sensor.
