This model represents the right hip joint of a male together with the individual muscles and their origins and insertions on the femur and hip bone. For teaching, the origin (red) and insertion (blue) areas are raised and colour-coded, and the muscles can be removed from the joint for a different perspective. It clearly shows the relationship between the muscular and skeletal systems, making the anatomy of the human hip easy to study.
