The "Physiology of Nerves" set presents the fundamental structures of the human nervous system across five colour relief sections: the neuron cell body, the myelin sheaths of the central nervous system, the Schwann cells of the peripheral nervous system, the motor end plate and the synapse. Each section attaches magnetically to the illustrated base, which depicts the neural components in vivid colours, and the base also shows five smaller relief models of the main synapse variations.
