Lava Lamp Building Kit

A kit containing everything needed to build a working lava lamp, complete with assembly instructions and ideas for small experiments, plus background material on the lamp's history and the science of density behind it. In science, physics or chemistry lessons it lets pupils explore density, heat transfer and the movement of liquids, experimenting with temperature changes, liquid layering and convection. It works well as a hands-on supplementary activity in topics on the properties of matter and thermodynamics.
