Light Guide, Demonstration Model
Demonstration light guide made from a curved acrylic rod, 500 mm long and 10 mm in diameter, with two coils of approximately 50 mm diameter. It demonstrates total internal reflection as light travels through the rod; minor side emission may occur because of material impurities and the tight curvature.
