Magnets and Compass, CVK Case – 5 × Groups

A teaching set from Cornelsen Experimenta for practical experiments on two closely linked physics topics — magnets and compasses — designed for the early school years and equipped for up to 15 groups of pupils, with teacher booklets in German and Danish. In grades 1–2 pupils explore the properties of magnets using small magnet carts and floating magnets and identify the north and south poles of unmarked bar magnets, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. In grades 2–3 the compass part extends this: pupils see how a magnet suspended in a stand or floated on a foam base settles in a north–south line like a compass needle, and can even build their own compass to find the cardinal points and orient on a map.
