Motor-Generator Model, "compact"

A small, ready-to-use working model of an electric motor/generator whose open construction makes its operation easy to see. As a motor, the permanent magnet can be swapped for an electromagnet, allowing DC (1.5–5 V) or AC (6–9 V) operation as either a series or shunt motor. Fitted with a drive pulley and belt on the base plate, it also runs as a generator, delivering up to 3 V at two 4 mm sockets. Dimensions: 230 x 125 x 120 mm; mass approx. 620 g.
