Perrin Tube D
This highly evacuated Perrin tube contains an indirectly heated oxide cathode, cylindrical anode, deflection plates and a partly fluorescent screen. It produces a narrow electron beam for demonstrating the negative polarity and specific charge of electrons through magnetic deflection into a Faraday cage. It also enables experiments on electron deflection in alternating electric and magnetic fields, including Lissajous figures.
