Pneumatic Lighter

Demonstration device for illustrating diesel ignition. Rapidly depressing the piston compresses and heats the air in the transparent tube until paper at its base ignites; an ether-soaked cotton pad can also be ignited. The compression tube is approximately 150 mm long.
