Replica Homo rhodesiensis Skull (Broken Hill Woodward, 1921)
Accurate cast of a reconstruction of the Broken Hill, or Kabwe, skull, based on scientific copies from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University collection. The specimen, classified as Homo sapiens rhodesiensis or Homo erectus rhodesiensis, was found in 1921 in an iron-ore mine at Broken Hill, present-day Kabwe, Zambia. Its age is estimated at approximately 150,000–300,000 years.
