RNA Model, 24 Bases, miniDNA® Kit

A hands-on molecular model kit for building a single strand of RNA. It contains 24 bases — equivalent to 8 codons of a messenger RNA strand — using the four RNA bases (uracil in place of thymine), plus four clover-leaf transfer RNA parts and four amino-acid parts. Combined with the layers of the Advanced miniDNA™ kit, it can model the transcription of RNA and provide hands-on investigation of protein synthesis (translation). The kit includes 6 uracil, 6 adenine, 6 guanine and 6 cytosine bases, 12 ribose and 12 phosphate parts, and the 4 tRNA and 4 amino-acid parts.
