Spring Set, 5 Different, with Hook

This set contains five springs of equal length but different stiffness, so each can be loaded to a different degree. Every spring has a closed loop at one end and a hook at the other, making them easy to suspend and to attach weights to, and they are made of nickel-plated spring steel. The five springs can be loaded up to 0.5 N, 1 N, 2 N, 3 N and 5 N respectively, and with a 100 g weight they extend by 370 mm, 160 mm, 90 mm, 60 mm and 40 mm. They are typically used in physics for Hooke's law experiments — measuring how different forces stretch the springs — and for investigating elasticity, proportionality, spring constants and building simple dynamometers.
