Multifunctional microwave chemistry workstation, UWave-2000
Multifunctional microwave chemical reaction workstation, the successor to the UWave-1000. It combines atmospheric-pressure and pressurised reactions with microwave heating, ultrasound and UV irradiation, giving flexibility and reliability in microwave chemistry research. An intelligent operating system with a 7-inch touchscreen keeps control simple, and the modular design allows energy sources and functions to be combined freely. Open-vessel reactions of up to 2000 ml and pressurised reactions of up to 500 ml make larger-scale experiments possible. For organic extraction, pharmaceutical research, protein chemistry, new materials science, graphene research, polymer synthesis and many other fields.
- Microwave, ultrasound and UV in one instrument (3 in 1), for open-vessel and high-pressure reactions
- High reproducibility: automatic inverter control of the microwave power, dual temperature control and piezoelectric crystal pressure measurement ensure that every reaction is accurately recorded and can be reproduced
- Safety: in pressurised mode, an intelligent pressure control system provides a real-time overpressure alarm and active pressure relief; composite-fibre outer vessel and high-strength metal frame
- The three energy sources – microwave, ultrasound and UV irradiation – can be combined freely and work together, with the software switching each source on and off on a timed program
- Immersion ultrasonic transducer: power adjustable 0–800 W, frequency 28 kHz, automatic frequency sweep and lock
- Two UV sources for selective photochemistry: 100 W UV lamp with a dominant wavelength of 365 nm (standard) and 100 W UV lamp with a dominant wavelength of 254 nm (optional)
- 50–2000 ml glass flasks for routine work; optional quartz reaction flasks in various sizes for photochemical reactions under UV irradiation
- High-pressure sealed reactions in three sealed vessels (100, 200 and 500 ml), bridging laboratory research and production verification; long reactions at 230 °C and 2 MPa considerably extend the temperature and pressure range beyond that of atmospheric-pressure reactions
- Dual-channel temperature measurement with automatic switching: high-precision infrared sensor 0–900 °C (300 °C in standard configuration) and platinum resistance thermometer 0–250 °C, ±1 °C; patented piezoelectric crystal pressure sensor for pressurised reactions (control range 0–5 MPa, ±0.01 MPa). The same system runs atmospheric and pressurised reactions, and the software recognises the vessel type automatically to prevent operating errors
- Mechanical and magnetic stirring: digital constant-speed mechanical stirring for high-viscosity reactions, 30–1600 rpm, adjustable in real time and displayed in ±10 rpm steps, torque 300 N·m, clockwise or anticlockwise, PEEK or quartz stirring rod; built-in magnetic stirring 0–800 rpm, programmable, with real-time display
- Intelligent control software: reaction parameters and curves are transferred to a computer, every reaction and curve can be recorded without limit, instrument parameters can be controlled or changed from the computer in real time, and microwave, ultrasound and UV can be switched on and off by program. The 7-inch colour LCD touchscreen allows precise setting and real-time display of parameters, curves and a colour image of the reaction; the colour camera in the chamber outputs an image signal for recording or external connection
- Large industrial-grade 316L stainless steel chamber with a multi-layer, high-strength anti-corrosion (Teflon) coating and durable reaction vessel materials for all kinds of chemical reactions; atmospheric-pressure reactions up to 2000 ml; high-speed fan, 3 m³/min, with automatic 3-step speed control according to the reaction; devices for reflux condensation, dropwise addition and water separation, and an inert shielding gas inlet; ISO 9001:2008 and CE certified
