X-Ray Apparatus
This X-ray apparatus has a closed radiation-proof housing with a transparent safety shield that automatically disables the high-voltage supply when opened. Its high-vacuum X-ray tube has a tungsten cathode and copper anode, with a lead-glass collimator for a parallel beam and scatter shielding. A horizontal counter-tube goniometer supports experiments including Bragg reflection; selectable anode voltage is 20 or 30 kV.
